Hi,
We have created a monster WLAN over 75 km long. One side has an ADSL and we are trying to share it through 7 Bridges to a PC. Our slowest link is 5 Mb. All the bridges are using ver 2.39. At the PC the internet is really slow like 4 kbps. Our pings from one end to the other are in the teens and never times out. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Pings are good, but do you see any packet loss occasionally?
Do a ping -t and see what the stats report after a min or two of pinging.
Also any firewalls on this pc or on the net connection on the other end?

i know what you mean,
its a mixture of timeing issues and multi points, no real "fix", this kinda gear was never made for long distence stuff

If you move down the line of AP (Yes I know this may mean going for a drive) does the internet speeds get better? And if it does at what point does it?

Thanks for your help. I am beginning to think it is our ADSL router on the other end. I was hoping there was some tweaks for Minitars to perform better in this situation. I will check the link down the line and report back tomorrow.

We have tested the link again and I think we have found the slow spot. If Minitar's are not cutout for this sort of link does anyone have any recommendations. Is WDS mode slower than Bridge to Bridge? What is the recommended setting for RTS and Beacon and all the other configs in this sort of link?
Thanks very much for your help and anyone near Crookwell, NSW, Australia is welcome to come over and have a look!

All the Minitar's are set to P T P or P T MP.

WDS mode is slower than P-T-P modes due to the packets having to be retransmitted out of the wireless interface they come in on.
