One of my mintars is cycling from "a network cable is unplugged" to "a network cable is connected" every 10 seconds. factory reset does nothing. I cannot enter the browser during the cycling. has anyone seen this and is there a possible fix.
thanx.

Have you tried to reset the unit with holding the reset button on the back of the unit down for 10 seconds? This will reset it back to factory configs however it may resolve the problem.

Have you attempted any other troubleshooting so far?

I have tried connecting with a crossover cable and I can get it to acknowlege connection on the pc but cannot connect to browser and minitar monitor cannot see it either.
strangely, the lan led is on all the time when the cat cable is unplugged. I plug the crossover in and the lan blinks and connects, then stays on permanently. I have tried numerous factory resets, [holding the reset button for 10 seconds]. the lan led does go out after a 10 sec reset, but then the same symptoms.
It has been unplugged and unpowered for two weeks. two weeks ago it was working ok.
I guess It is beyond help, so I will send it back and hopefuly have a warranty replacement.

Remember that the DHCP server in the Unit is disabled by default. You will need to assign an IP to the card you are using in the 192.168.2.* subnet to get connected.

The Default IP of the MNWAPB is 192.168.2.1
Default user - admin
Deafult Pass - 1234

Hope this helps

Sounds like something has failed in the unit then unfortunatly as it sounds like it's failing to boot. Are you saying now that you cannot get a link light on your NIC when it's plugged into the MNWAPB via a crossover ?

I have a network activity icon in my taskbar and it tells me if I am connected. Today I tried it again and it connected straight away using a patch cable. I got excited but couldn't log in and minitar monitor came up with the message "cannot connect in this state" or something like that. Then I pulled the patch cable and replugged it in and it was telling me in the taskbar balloon that I was connected at 10 mbps instead or 100, and cycling from connected to disconnected again, weird huh? This minitar comes up with a different symptom every day. My other minitar, part of the original ptp pair is working fine, so my pc is setup correctly. anyhow I have ordered a replacement today and an extra two for a friend, I still have faith in minitars, especially because of their good tolerance to heat witch is vital for mast mounting.

Most likely a faulty unit then - let us know if you have troubles with the replacement.

I KNOW that with one version of the firmware it will do that if you have your ethernet card on full duplex 100. Only for certain network cards though too. Weird. Happened to me and I changed it to half duplex and never had a problem.
