Hi i would like to use the AP for stumbling as i cant aford a laptop or anything like that that can be placed on the roof.

I would like to see signal strenth and possibly realtime and for it to store the information into some log so i can see all networks that ive sweept for.

Also will there be a new firmware update anytime soon? smile.gif

There will be a firmware update soon for bug fixes but no futher enhancements will be made to this device.

well wouldnt these be bug fixes in theory, it kinda supports site survey, but the signal strngth seems to be a random number, thats most important i guess fixing the signal strength....

The signal strength value is what is being reported by the chipset - it's just that the firmware isn't averaging it out and converting it into a value that you would be expecting. Unfortunatly there is no way we can "log" this or provide the information in real time.

Perhaps someone has developed a custom firmware for this purpose ?

okay so that is accurate the strength? is lower better? ie 1 is better than 100?

Just tracking down the specs for you, won't be long.
