Hi I am sharing adsl with a friend with 2 mnwapb's in bridge point to point mode, and it works fantastcally, in fact one minitar has an uptime of over 100 days and has never missed a beat.
I was wondering if I leave the mintars configured as they are, and added another nic to my pc and networked it to another pc, could I surf the web with both pc's simultaniously if the pc's were configured correctly? both pc's have xp.
thanks.

You could do this no problems as long as the cable you use is a Crossover Network cable. Otherwise the two PC's will not talk to each other with a normal Patch cable.

They look the same, just the ethernet wires are setup differently.

Also on the pc connected to the wireless link you will need to have some sort of Internet connection sharing. XP automatically has this built in.

Better to just get a small hub and hook everything through the hub, allows for expandability and doesnt require the "gateway" computer to be on all the time.

Let the adsl modem farm out ip addresses (DHCP), this is jow I do it, a mixture of wired and wireless into my DSL-302G modem.

@ vk3jma would something like this be adequate? http://www.dlink.com.au/products/switches/des1005d/ do you have a preference for any particular brand of hub or switch?
thanks.
