Full Version: Access Point as Router
Minitar Forums > Discontinued Products > Minitar 802.11B MNWAPB Wireless Access Point Issues & Firmware

My router has gone down so now I plug my DSL modem directly into the Minitar Access point.
I have 2 pcs set up with minitar pci wireless cards in the house however I cant connect from one to the other and cant connect to internet with both.

Internet is very buggy switching on and off as it feels. Every now and then pci cards seem to reconnect which perhaps prompts a new IP address.

In network properties the IP is sometimes 0.0.0.0 (invalid)

I am assuming I cant use the access point to connect both pcs to the net...

I assume your modem is just a standard non-router modem in bridged mode and you are using XP or something on your clients to connect PPPOE over the wireless ?

It should work for at least a single client if your MNWAPB is running the latest firmware.

For more than one client you do need a router.
