Not really sure where to start as this problem is baffling me.

Originally I had the Minitar connected to a DLink router using Infrastructure mode. This seems to work pretty flawlessly until the SSID changed, then I could not get the Minitar to establish a connection.

Fast track 3 months, i've lived without the Minitar device and i'm in a new place with a Billion 7402VGP. I'm now looking to setup the Minitar to connect to the Billion for a Mythbox in another room.

I attempted to use the Infrastructure mode again, connecting to the Billion with SSID broadcast and WEP enabled/disabled and no luck. Time to give WDS a try.

I changed the mode to WDS, entered the Billions MAC address (and the Minitar MAC on the Billion). When I connect to the Billion web console it does not display the MAC/IP address of the Minitar so i'm guessing it can not establish a connection and I can not longer connect to the Minitar web console over the LAN.

Other than the wireless connection not working whenever the Minitar is plugged in to the LAN it causes timeouts and when pinging the Minitar I see quite large spikes and time outs.

My box
XP connected via crossover cable to Billion

Ok, it seems to have come good all of a sudden. Guess it just took a while to sort itself out.
