I've got a MNWAPB and it's connected to my xbox in station-infrastructure mode to my wireless modem/router.

My neighbour has a wireless network that i can pick up. Is there a way I can configure my minitar to connect to that network automatically if my internet goes down?

You could do it in a round about way however it would be your neighbour who would have to connect like your XBox connects to the MNWAPB, not you connect to him.

If your net then went down all you would have to do is change the gateway IP to his gateway. He would also need to be on the same subnet as the MNWAPB is not a router. It is a Access Point which means none of the changes will ever be dynamic like the way you want it.

If you only just attempting to connect to him without him knowing... sorry cannot help you with that. He needs to connect to you and you need to authorise him.
I believe that's the only way it would work, and it would never be dynamic.
