Full Version: Mnwapb Loses Settings After Powercycle

I have a MNWAPB and it was working perfectly until I recently brought it to someones house. It now loses it's settings after a powercycle.

1: I reset it to default settings using the reset pinhole in the back.
2: Logged into 192.168.2.1 and changed the wireless settings to station-infrastructure mode.
3: Applied
4: Scanned for a wireless router and chose the network and applied.
5: Changed the default LAN IP address of the minitar to 192.168.1.50.
6: Assigned my laptop LAN to be DHCP Assigned and it received an IP address and was connected to the internet.

Everything works normally.

Then when I disconnect the power of the minitar and reconnect it, the minitar will no longer connect to the wireless router and I am unable to log into the minitar via LAN. It's as though it either loses all its settings and hangs in limbo.

When I reset using the pinhole at the back to default and redo the whole thing it works until I unplug it.

Any ideas people? This is becoming very annoying, I must of spent hours retyping all of the settings mellow.gif

When you setup the MNWAPB unit, you are selecting to save to flash after you setup everything?

Just want to make sure. This would be the only reason I could think that a unit working correctly would not save settings?

I don't see an option to "save to flash". I've only being applying it.

I must admit I've thought it strange just applying it.

That should then be saving it to flash.

When you log back into the unit after powering it down, are all the settings still there completely or are they gone.

Biggest problem is, if there gone, when did you buy this unit? The MNWAPB units have not been sold by Minitar for about 2 years now?

After powering down the unit and then repowering I am unable to log into it at all. ONly when I reset to default can I log into it again.

I've had the unit a while now. Like I said it was working perfectly until I simply unplugged it and relocated it

It sounds like a fault... however there is not much more I could probably tell you that would help apart from does it have the last version of firmware we released for this unit on it?

Yeah it does sound like the flash component is not doing what it is suppose to... not alot I can suggest in doing about that sorry.

I suppose as long as it stays up it's fine..
