Need some advice (keep it simple). I got a Billion 7500G - nice unit. Now I have a AP not being utilised.

Can I use the AP to extend the range of the of the wireless side of the 7500. Can I just plug it into a power point - that is, not connected to any computer.

If this is possible, how do I set the AP up.

Not worried about the AP only being 11b as the 7500 will do both at the same time.

You could use the AP in client mode I suppose and connect to the 7500 similar to connecting to a 743GE. The 7500 only uses Station Inferstructure mode.

However the AP could not be used as WDS or Bridge mode as it would not work.

Only the Minitar Residential Gateways have that option.
